Cruzkid Crews (Gregory Crews)

Cruzkid Crews is a Vermont-based singer-songwriter, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends Country, Southern Rock, and Alternative Rock into a sound that's equal parts grit, soul, and honesty. Writing from real-life experience rather than fiction, his songs explore resilience, loss, redemption, freedom, and the determination to keep moving forward.

His musical journey began in 2004 when he finally found someone who shared the same passion for creating music. Alongside longtime friend and drummer William Herbert III, countless hours were spent writing and recording in a basement studio. Through Billy, Greg met Douglas Senter, and together they formed Northern Trend Kill. Although the band played only a handful of shows, those early years laid the foundation for Greg's songwriting and fueled his passion for recording original music.

In July 2009, Greg founded the hard-rock band Disorderly Konduct, serving as lead vocalist and guitarist alongside William Herbert III on drums and vocals, Aaron Gilleland on bass, and Scott Hayman on guitar. The band quickly earned a reputation for their high-energy live performances, playing numerous shows throughout the Northeast in a short period of time. That same year they auditioned for America's Got Talent and traveled to New York as the lineup evolved. Following additional member changes, the band solidified with William Dwayne Pitts on bass and Joel Pasquerillo on guitar, recorded an album, signed with management, and booked a full tour for 2010. Like many bands chasing a dream, the journey eventually came to an end, but it left behind unforgettable experiences and lifelong friendships.

After Disorderly Konduct disbanded, life took Greg in a different direction. In October 2019, tragedy struck when his daughter was killed in an accident. He returned home to Vermont to be close to his oldest son, carrying with him a grief that would forever change both his life and his music.

From that heartbreak came one of his most personal songs, "Not The Same." The song became the cornerstone of an entire album written as a way to process unimaginable loss. Although those recordings were eventually released, they had been created on aging analog/digital equipment that never captured the sound Greg truly envisioned. Years later, equipped with a modern Studio One PreSonus recording setup, professional software, and new production tools, he revisited those songs, rebuilding them while continuing to write new music that finally reflected the sound he had always imagined.

Today, Cruzkid Crews is the driving force behind CruzKid Crews Music, releasing a steady stream of original songs that showcase both powerful storytelling and raw musical energy. His catalog includes fan favorites such as "Two Pills in the Morning," "Stronger Than The Whiskey," "Road To Liberation," "The Wicked Don't Sleep," "Roll On," "1,000 Miles From Home," and the deeply personal "Not The Same." Many recordings continue to feature longtime friend William Herbert III on drums and vocals, preserving a musical partnership that has spanned more than two decades.

Whether performing live across Vermont or recording in the studio, Cruzkid Crews creates music for people who have lived through life's hardest moments and refuse to quit. His songs aren't polished fairy tales—they're stories earned through experience, carried by powerful melodies, Southern Rock attitude, Country heart, and an unwavering belief that even after life's darkest chapters, there's always another road ahead.
